Using gstreamer to show MJPEG IP camera stream

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly versionPDF versionPDF version
On the i.XM6 platform, gstreamer can be used directly to display a digital camera stream. Most common is the MJPEG format.
From the command line, type the following to show full screen video (replace port number '12345' to what your camera is using):

gst-launch-1.0 udpsrc port=12345 ! application/x-rtp, encoding-name=JPEG,payload=26 ! rtpjpegdepay ! imxvpudec ! autovideosink &

If full screen is not what you want, autovideosink can be replaced with imxg2dvideosink.
It is also possible to add parameters to the sink, to decide size (width, height) and start coordinates for the video window (x,y).
Example for CCP VS:

window-width=400 window-height=300 window-x-coord=400 window-y-coord=300

Applies to version:
CCpilot VS and VI2
